Overview

Opportunity
This position offers a chance to work within Scotland's largest health board as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including FFD mammography, GE ultrasound, stereotactic tables, digital tomosynthesis, and contrast-enhanced spectral mammography.
Role Details
The role involves providing large volume biopsies and excisions, with opportunities for subspecialty breast imaging and involvement in the West of Scotland Breast Screening Service. The team comprises approximately 100 staff members. The position is primarily full-time, based on a 10 PA consultant contract, with potential to increase to 12 PA following detailed job planning.
Sub-specialty and Responsibilities
A subspecialist interest in breast imaging is required, with encouragement for candidates interested solely in this area. Responsibilities include contributing to departmental teaching, training, governance, and adapting to service changes. Cross-cover duties for DCCs are expected, with flexibility negotiated based on service needs.
