Responsibilities
* Carry out aseptic preparation including parenteral nutrition, CIVA, cytotoxic drugs, gene therapy and monoclonal antibodies from prescription receipt, accurately measuring volumes and following departmental procedures.
* Engage in medicines management duties at ward level, including medicines reconciliation, assessing patients’ own medications and ordering medications.
* Provide a high‑quality dispensing service for all patients within the Trust.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 4 GCSEs grades A‑C/4‑9, including Maths, English Language and two science subjects (preferably Chemistry and Biology; dual or combined accepted).
* Eligibility: If lacking a Science GCSE, you must have completed a Level 2 qualification in Pharmacy Services and at least two years of pharmacy experience.
* Demonstrate the ability to work accurately, methodically and under pressure, with an excellent eye for detail.
* Commitment to study: Students must dedicate at least 10 hours per week to complete the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practices for Pharmacy Technicians.
