Salary: £43,000 + Pension + Benefits

The Company
An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of the UK’s leading manufacturers, specialising in the FMCG sector. The company has been established for over 50 years and is well-established, supplying a variety of end users. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an engineer to strengthen their engineering team.
Key Skills
* Apprentice Trained Engineer
* Experience with PLC Systems & Automated Machinery
* Understanding of PPM systems within FMCG Manufacturing
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities, ensuring work is carried out to high standards and maximizing machine efficiencies.
Candidates should have an electrical engineering background, be able to work independently, be a time-served engineer with a multi-skilled bias, and have experience in fast-moving manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the production team to minimize machinery downtime and conduct preventative maintenance to prevent disruptions.
* Support within the engineering team to improve plant productivity and investigate breakdowns and damages.
* Perform repairs, record measures taken, and identify recurrent faults.
* Engage in electrical and mechanical proactive and reactive maintenance.
* Ensure availability of spare parts, materials, and equipment.
* Promote health and safety on site.
