Location: Stevenage
Salary: Up to £58,000 + bonus
Contract: 12-month fixed-term
We are partnering with a leading organization on the outskirts of South Manchester to recruit an Employee Relations Investigator for an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.
About the Role
We’re seeking a forward-thinking, level-headed Employee Relations Investigator to join the People team. This role involves navigating complex workplace issues, conducting thorough investigations, and ensuring fair outcomes.
You will be the trusted point of contact for escalated situations, conducting investigations into misconduct, grievances, harassment, discrimination, and disciplinary issues, ensuring they are detailed, professional, and compliant with employment law and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading impartial investigations into employee relations matters such as misconduct, grievances, harassment, discrimination, and disciplinary issues.
* Gathering evidence through interviews, documentation, and analysis, and presenting findings clearly.
* Collaborating with HR, managers, and legal teams to ensure fair and consistent case handling.
* Advising leaders on outcomes and next steps, balancing legal compliance with a people-first approach.
* Maintaining meticulous records and ensuring processes meet regulatory standards.
* Contributing to continuous improvement in ER policies, training, and culture.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience in Employee Relations, with investigation exposure preferred.
* Strong knowledge of employment law and ER best practices.
* Excellent communication and interviewing skills, maintaining impartiality.
* Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Resilience, discretion, and confidence in handling sensitive issues.
You will join a collaborative HR team that supports your development and challenges you with complex cases. The role offers a salary up to circa £58,000 plus bonus, with a flexible work arrangement of four days in the office and one day remote, subject to change as needed.
