Tripod Partners are looking for a Finance Business Partner with strong experience in Adult Social Care to join a local authority finance team supporting strategic decision-making across a high-value service area.
This is a leadership-level interim post working closely with senior stakeholders to shape budgets, manage spend, and translate complex financials into actionable insights.

Location: London-based council (hybrid arrangements may be considered)

Duration: 10 November 2025 – 31 March 2026

Hours: Full-time (36 hours per week), Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
About the Role:
*
Oversee financial management for Adult Social Care services, supporting a net budget of £130 million, including £90 million in placements and a £20 million Public Health Grant
*
Work alongside Directorate leadership to provide strategic finance input and enable effective decision-making
*
Deliver robust financial advice and challenge to senior leaders, ensuring efficient and sustainable service delivery
*
Translate financial reporting and forecasts into meaningful insight for non-finance managers
*
Lead or contribute to cross-cutting initiatives around capital investment, transformation, and cost-saving projects
Requirements:
*
Qualified accountant or equivalent experience in local government financial management
*
Significant experience in Adult Social Care finance
*
Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, placements, and public health funding
*
Proven ability to challenge senior stakeholders and influence financial outcomes
*
Confident in presenting financial data clearly to non-technical audiences
*
Experience managing or mentoring finance team members is desirable
