Job Overview
Applicants must currently be employed by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clerical officer to join the team at Colwyn Bay Hospital. The purpose of this post is to provide an efficient and comprehensive administrative and reception service to the Colwyn Bay Outpatients Department. The post holder will act as the first point of contact for telephone communication and will work within the hospital administrative teams alongside the Site Administrator to provide a seamless administrative service to the Community Hospital. The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.
Main duties of the job
* Offer general assistance to service providers and users and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
* Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
* Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the Out Patients Department, including providing clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the team.
* Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of staff in secondary care and other associated healthcare and wellbeing agencies.
