Capgemini is a market leading partner to the UK Public Sector. We are looking for an established SAP Leader to join us in shaping and driving forward the largest Tax and Revenue Management deployments globally.
As we continue to grow, we are seeking senior leaders who combine deep functional expertise with expert client engagement skills. We require expert consultants who can confidently navigate complex public sector IT landscapes to lead major programmes and inspire high performing teams.
This is a leadership role where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence the direction of key national services. Partnering directly with senior client stakeholders, you will earn their trust as a strategic advisor and influence outcomes that impact millions of citizens. All the while working in a collaborative environment that invests in your development and leadership journey.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time. For this role it is expected that you will work from the London, Worthing or Telford office 3 days per week.

Your role
In this role, you’ll take ownership of building and cultivating relationships with senior stakeholders, providing leadership across the full lifecycle shaping the reference architecture, defining guardrails and design principles, and steering solution options through governance.
Partnering with senior stakeholders, you’ll de risk complex integrations and define the frameworks that enable our team to implement scalable, compliant and performant solutions at pace.
Whilst not mandatory we are particularly interested in people who have worked with S/4HANA SAP TRM, SAP ISU, FI-CA and/or PSCD.
What you’ll do:
1. Lead high stakes architectural discussions with senior client stakeholders, translating complex operational, regulatory and platform requirements into clear design decisions and actionable delivery work.
2. Chair client workshops and participate in design authority sessions, translating complex requirements into actionable designs.
3. Own solution governance and architectural integrity, shaping guardrails, ensuring alignment to clean core principles, enforcing non functional requirements (security, resilience, scalability, performance), and maintaining compliance with client and cross government standards.
4. Drive quality and risk management, proactively mitigating delivery risks and ensuring successful handover to live services. Architecting robust solutions, easily manageable in live.
5. Provide clear leadership on quality and risk, anticipating delivery issues early and assuring solutions are architected to be resilient, maintainable and optimised for live support
6. Develop and coach multi disciplinary SAP teams, strengthening consulting capability across FICA, PSCD and wider SAP modules, instilling strong design practices and consulting expertise.
7. Shape long term platform direction, advising senior client leaders on SAP roadmap options, modernisation opportunities, integration strategy, operational efficiency and future transformation priorities.
Your skills and experience
8. Track record of architecting and delivering large scale solutions ideally across SAP FI CA, PSCD, or comparable platforms within complex IT landscapes.
9. Executive-level stakeholder engagement, You are comfortable operating at executive level, able to distil technical complexity into clear choices and influence outcomes under scrutiny.
10. Strategic mindset, You think strategically, balancing clients priorities with organisational objectives, risk profiles and commercial realities.
11. Deep SAP functional knowledge, Your SAP expertise spans core functional domains and modern capability areas such as S/4HANA, BRIM or BTP extension architectures.
12. Strong consulting skills, You bring strong consulting skills, structured facilitation, negotiation, option shaping and solution design.
Commitment to developing others, with a track record of coaching and building high-performing teams.
13. Professional certifications (e.g. SAP S/4HANA, BTP, BRIM) and accountancy qualifications are advantageous.
14. Knowledge of UK statutory financial accounting and reporting requirements, management accounting techniques and integration touch points to other SAP modules.
15. Security clearance eligibility and a commitment to public service standards.
