Sous Chef

Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 15:30
Occasional Saturdays, around 6 a year
We’re looking for a Sous Chef to join our kitchen team in Oxford. This role involves supporting the Head Chef with daily service, leading the brigade when required, and helping to deliver both high-volume meals and hospitality events.
The role will involve:
Running the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
Supervising and motivating the team of chefs
Assisting with menu development and food presentation
Taking responsibility for stock control, orders and deliveries
Ensuring food safety, hygiene and allergen standards are met
Helping to organise and deliver functions and special events
About you:
Experienced chef with previous supervisory or management experience
NVQ Level 2 in Food Production (or equivalent)
Intermediate Food Hygiene (IOSH Managing Safely desirable)
Confident leading a team in a busy kitchen
Reliable, organised and focused on high standards
What we offer:
£35,006 annual salary (£16.83 p/h)
Overtime available at £25.25 p/h
Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:30 (occasional weekend cover)

Additional information:
Must be willing to take An Enhanced DBS check if succuesful as it is required for this role.
