You will be working alongside the Police in custody suites caring for detainees and supporting vulnerable people in society.
Responsibilities
* Provide physical, mental, and wellbeing care to detained individuals.
* Collect forensic samples as required by Police investigations.
* Record care and forensic information on computerised systems.
* Assess fitness for detention or release, administer medications when necessary.
* Collaborate with Liaison and Diversion teams to address underlying issues that may lead to future crime.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (RN), Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Dual‑Registered Nurse (RMN) with at least two years post‑qualification experience. Band 5 minimum.
* Paramedic with at least two years post‑qualification experience.
* Experience in a patient‑facing role within areas such as General Practice, A & E, Emergency Medicine, Acute Medicine, Walk‑in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare or Ambulance Service.
* Registered with HCPC or NMC.
* Valid UK driving licence.
* UK resident for at least three years with no gaps abroad exceeding three months.
* All candidates will be subject to Police Vetting.
Salary
* £20.50 per hour for 1–2 shifts per month.
* £22.50 per hour for 3–5 shifts per month.
* £24.50 per hour for 6 or more shifts per month.
