About the Role We are seeking a highly organised, detail-driven Document Controller to manage, maintain, and safeguard all project documentation within a busy site-based environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate document flow, compliance, and version control across multiple stakeholders supporting engineering, project management, HSEQ, commercial, and site delivery teams. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, enjoys structure, and takes pride in keeping complex projects running smoothly through robust document governance. Primarily site-based (office/site). Potential option to work from home 1 day per week depending on business needs. Key Responsibilities Manage the receipt, registration, distribution, and archiving of all project documentation. Maintain accurate and up-to-date document control systems, logs, registers, and workflows. Drive document compliance, ensuring correct naming conventions, approvals, revision control, and audit readiness. Coordinate the submission and retrieval of documents between internal teams, contractors, and clients. Support project teams with document formatting, templates, and adherence to project standards. Ensure secure storage of sensitive information and maintain confidentiality at all times. Track document progress and chase outstanding approvals and deliverables. Produce regular reporting dashboards and status updates when required. Assist with quality, compliance, and governance processes relating to documentation. Provide training and guidance to colleagues on document control best practice.Skills & Experience Required Previous experience as a Document Controller within construction, engineering, nuclear, utilities, or similar technical environments. Strong working knowledge of common document control platforms Excellent attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to work. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to thrive in a site-based, fast-moving project environment. High standards of confidentiality, accuracy, and data integrity. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
