Play a critical role at Enfinium’s state-of-the-art Energy-from-Waste (EfW) facility in Kemsley. As an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (E,C&I) Engineer, you’ll ensure the reliability, integrity, and performance of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems, supporting waste-to-energy transformation while maintaining safety and compliance.
What You’ll Be Doing
Based at our Kemsley facility, your role is vital for safe and efficient operations. You’ll collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and plant teams to perform maintenance, fault-finding, and system optimization on high-voltage and control systems. Key responsibilities include:
* Managing the full lifecycle of E,C&I assets including reactive, preventative, and condition-based maintenance.
* Maintaining and optimizing critical equipment such as DCS, SCADA, PLCs, HV/LV switchgear, and instrumentation across turbines, boilers, and support systems.
* Troubleshooting electrical and control faults to minimize downtime.
* Ensuring compliance with site safety procedures, including LOTO, RAMS, PTW, and CDM regulations.
* Supporting maintenance strategies, system upgrades, and capital projects.
* Contributing to continuous improvement in plant performance, safety, and environmental standards.
What You’ll Bring
We seek a skilled, safety-conscious engineer with strong fault-finding abilities. Essential qualifications include:
* HNC/HND or higher in Electrical, Electronic, or Control & Instrumentation Engineering.
* IOSH or NEBOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) safety qualification (desirable).
Experience & competencies:
* Practical E,C&I maintenance experience in power generation, processing, or heavy industry.
* Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems, instrumentation, PLCs, DCS, and SCADA.
* At least 2 years supporting outage planning and execution.
* Proficiency with CMMS, MS Project, and Excel.
* Familiarity with CDM regulations and continuous improvement initiatives.
