SEN Tutors / SEN Teachers Location: Essex Salary: £25 - £35 per hour, depending on experience Contract: Part Time, Freelance Why choose Study Mind for your next move? • Be part of a reputable organisation with over 1000 tutors and 7 years of experience • Local placements and flexible hours. • Access to our live job-board - a constantly-updated portfolio of current tutoring requirements. • Your choice of students, based on criteria that are important to you (level, location, subject). • We take care of admin and renewals We are now on the lookout for experienced SEN Tutors / SEN Teachers (Primary & Secondary) who can support our students in the Essex Area Main Responsibilities: • Delivering personalised 1:1 tuition in the Essex Area. • Preparing and delivering tutoring sessions to best meet the students SEN requirements - particularly ADHD and ASC/ASD. • Develop individual curriculum for students. • Clarifying and teaching subject matter. • Assessing and reporting on students’ knowledge on a regular basis. • Being a mentor to students. • Ensuring the safeguarding of the students you work with. Qualifications and Skills Our ideal Tutors: • Are experienced in working with SEN students • Must be a qualified primary or secondary school teacher with 2 years’ experience. • Have a good working knowledge of how to work with SEN students • Care about helping their students improve and achieve academically. • Have excellent communication skills. • Are flexible, organised and reliable. • Have their own transport and are happy to work in students homes. Key Requirements: • Demonstrated success in a Teaching or Tutoring role. • Ideally have QTS • Passionate about helping students and young people grow and achieve. • Outstanding record of academic achievement. • Be committed to the safeguarding of all young people. • Passionate about coaching and mentoring others. • DBS Enhanced certification.
