The Holbrook & Shotley Practice are looking for a bookkeeper/finance administrator to join their team. This position is offered on a part time basis for 15 hours per week. You will be providing s upport the Partners and the Practice Manager in the management and coordination of all aspects of practice finances, optimising efficiency and financial performance, ensuring the practice achieves its long-term strategic objectives. Job responsibilities will include; Review all income and expenditure statements, identifying any inaccuracies and rectifying such issues, informing the Practice Manager/Senior Partner as required Manage accounting system Xero Ensure invoices are paid within the given time frame Maintain an effective system for the handling of petty cash and cheques Responsible for ensuring appropriate ledger coding for payroll Ensure the presentation of monthly financial reports is of a high standard Present financial forecasts to partners as and when required Ensure that effective financial controls are in place and processes are adhered to Understand and brief the management team on financial implications of contract and legislation changes affecting the practice Maintain an effective working relationship with the PCN & ICB, ensuring the practice receives a proportionate and equitable allocation of resources Please see attached for further information. About the Candidate To be considered for this position, you will require the following; Excellent standard of education with excellent literacy and numeracy skills Experience of maintaining financial information systems Experience of working in a healthcare setting Experience of data analysis and the production of reports E xperience of using the Xero financial system Experience of financial planning and forecasting Experience of primary care/running costs for NHS organisations About Us The Holbrook and Shotley Practice is a GP Practice across two surgery sites.
