We are looking for a motivated, forward-thinking enhanced clinical practitioner (an advanced clinical practitioner at band 7 would be considered) to cover maternity leave within the cardiac specialist nurse team.
The candidate will provide expert care for patients, including assessing, planning, implementing, and monitoring care while ensuring best practice, evidence-based practice, and patient-centred cardiology care.
We seek a self-motivated, adaptable, and knowledgeable professional who is clinically confident working independently and as part of a team with experience in Cardiology. The ideal candidate will be highly organized with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within the multidisciplinary team.

* Undertake a competency-based pathway with supervision and support, progressing towards autonomous assessment of patient care, including rapid access clinics.
* Gain the skills and knowledge to be an accountable practitioner, responsible for managing practice with enhanced professional accountability, autonomy, and judgment for complex decision-making in cardiology.
* Develop the ability to work autonomously, applying enhanced clinical knowledge and skills, to holistically assess patients with complex conditions using various methods across the service.
* Under supervision, plan and manage patient care within your scope of practice, working with others to optimize health outcomes and resource use, and providing direct support to patients and carers.
* Propose and implement service and policy development and redesign, impacting beyond your area, informed by current best practices and evidence, aligned with the trust's values-based care.
* Serve as a resource and deliver/evaluate specialist education and development programs for individuals and groups, including GPs, community teams, hospital staff, and external agencies.

This role has a base at the RBH site, with expected dual-site working. If the service relocates as part of a planned move, employees will not be eligible for excess mileage reimbursement, and travel from home to the new work base will be considered a normal commute. Other changes unrelated to relocation will be managed per Trust or national policies.
