Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a number of dynamic, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work within a vibrant and nurturing specialist pervision in the Vale of Glamorgan.
This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils in a specialist setting where wellbeing, independence and inclusion are at the heart of daily learning. The school has a warm and supportive environment where staff work closely together to help pupils develop socially, emotionally and academically.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities while encouraging pupils to develop independence and confidence. You will play an important role in promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils and supporting them to achieve their individual goals.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant you will:
* Support the class teacher in daily classroom activities
* Work with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
* Support pupils with additional learning needs
* Encourage independence and confidence
* Help manage behaviour positively
* Promote inclusion and engagement
* Support social and emotional development

Requirements
Applicants should:
* Have experience working with children or young people (school, care or youth work experience welcomed)
* Be patient, caring and adaptable
* Be confident supporting pupils with additional needs
* Work well as part of a team
* Be reliable and committed
Candidates must be willing to obtain:
* Enhanced DBS
* EWC Registration (we can support with this)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
