What do the team do?
The Business team provides a mix of accounting services, forecasting, year end accounts preparations and tax returns.We have a relationship centric approach and are trusted advisors to clients of all shapes and sizes, but they are typically owner managed businesses, giving you the opportunity to deal directly with the decision makers and to truly help shape the direction of their firm.
In our Bishop's Stortford/Cambridge based Business team you will beresponsible for the delivery of year end accounts and tax computations for clients with turnovers up to the audit threshold.
What will I be doing?
As anAccounts Manageryou will have ownership of the following tasks:
* Controlling own portfolio including everything from workforce planning, management of WIP and billing.
* Demonstrating a clear understanding of assignment plans and briefing team members accordingly.
* Delegating work to more junior members of the team and ensuring work is done on budget.
* Signing off on files prepared by more junior team members and producing completed files for final partner review.
* Working alongside the partner to plan ahead andeffectively manage workflow for the team.
* Building and further developing client relationships with existing and new clients.
What experience do I need?
Whilst having the following experience is advantageous, we value passion and potential. If you meet the minimum criteria listed below and are eager to develop yourself, we would love to hear from you:
* A professional accounting qualification – ACA or ACCA (minimum criteria).
* Experience of managing a portfolio of clients requiring statutory accounts preparations and tax computations (minimum criteria).
* People management experience.
* Strong time management skills and the ability to multi task.
* Commercial and proactive approach to client development.
