Person specification


Qualifications, Knowledge and Training


Essential criteria

* Postgraduate Qualification
* Medical degree
* Significant postgraduate work experience working in an acute setting (or equivalent gained on part-time or flexible basis), in a specialty training programme in orthopaedic surgery or as a fixed term specialty trainee in orthopaedic surgery.
* Demonstratable experience working in paediatric orthopaedics


Desirable criteria

* FRCS

* Experience of Audit

* Distinctions or Prizes during undergraduate training
* Research & Publications


Interpersonal Skills


Essential criteria

* Organisation skills
* Communication Skills: Ability to communicate and liaise effectively with children, their parents and other relatives, with colleagues of all disciplines.
* Team work: Ability to work as a team with professional colleagues, both medical and other non-medical disciplines


Other Requirements


Essential criteria

* Full registration (or eligible for full registration) with the General Medical Council and licensed to practice.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
