Job Title: Intimate Care Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are seeking a compassionate and reliable Intimate Care Assistant to support pupils in a primary school within the NP16 area. This is a vital role for helping children access learning safely, comfortably and with dignity. Experience is beneficial but not essential — full training and support will be provided.
About the Role:
Provide intimate care to pupils who require support with personal hygiene and toileting
Assist with changing, mobility needs and general personal care
Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who require additional support
Support children to access the curriculum and remain engaged in classroom activities
Promote independence, confidence and wellbeing
Work collaboratively with teachers and ALN staff
Maintain a respectful, discreet and child-centred approach at all times
Ideal Candidate:
Patient, caring and comfortable with providing intimate personal care
Confident supporting pupils with additional learning or physical needs
Strong communication skills and a calm, reassuring manner
Experience in care, SEN, support work or childcare is helpful but not essential
Willing to undertake additional training and CPD
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
