This Scottish based business is well‑established manufacturer and is looking for an immediately available Planning Manager to take the lead on production planning, material flow, and scheduling across the site with an immediate start available.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving processes, strengthening cross‑functional communication, and ensuring products move smoothly from raw materials to finished goods.
You’ll work closely with suppliers, supply chain teams, planners, and production to keep operations running efficiently while supporting ongoing improvement across the planning function.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead monthly reviews covering labour, capacity, and site capability
* Create and distribute daily and weekly production plans
* Drive improvements in planning accuracy, efficiency, and cost control
* Maintain stock accuracy with a focus on minimising waste and write‑offs
* Oversee quality checks throughout the production cycle and recommend improvements
* Manage document control and ensure compliance with internal standards
* Report performance against key KPIs and highlight areas for improvement
* Build strong relationships across departments to support customer service excellence
* Lead and develop a team of two planners
Skills & Experience
* Proven interim experience in a senior planning or planning management role
* Strong background in food manufacturing planning
* Confident IT user with strong systems and Excel capability
* Effective leader with experience coaching and developing teams
* Passionate about continuous improvement and operational change

* Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (days)
* Hours: 8am – 5pm
* Salary: Dependent on experience
