About the Support Worker Role
Working as a Support Worker means no two days are ever the same. It's a varied, hands-on role where you'll make a genuine and lasting difference in someone's life every single day.
We are looking for compassionate, caring individuals to join our team at our registered support service in Market Weighton, just outside the town centre. Whether you're experienced or new to care, our fantastic training programme will give you the skills and confidence you need to succeed as a Support Worker.
As a Support Worker, you'll need:
A kind and empathetic nature
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A willingness to complete relevant training and development
Shift Patterns
This Support Worker position involves a flexible rota, including:
Day shifts
Night shifts
Sleep-in shifts
Working every other weekend
What You'll Be Doing as a Support Worker
As a Support Worker, you will:
Support individuals with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping
Assist with managing finances, medications, and appointments
Encourage participation in social and community activities
Promote independence and support individuals to achieve their personal goals
Build positive, trusting relationships and provide emotional support
Deliver and coordinate specialised care for individuals with complex health needs, ensuring high-quality, person-centred Support Worker care at all times
