About the Trust and team:
South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLAM) provide the widest range of NHS mental health services in the UK. SLAM serves a local population of 1.3 million people in south London, as well as specialist services for children and adults across the UK and beyond. Each year SLAM provides inpatient care for over 5,000 people and treat more than 40,000 patients in the community in Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, and Croydon.
This role is within a community-based project requiring the postholder to take lead and responsibility over, as well as working in conjunction with the wider MDT team. The postholder must be confident in their ability to work autonomously and have skills within clinical admin, data quality, assessing and supporting families and safeguarding concerns. This post involves working to promote the emotional and physical health and wellbeing of children ages 5-12 years who are living with excess weight.
The Team at the Mary Sheridan Centre consists of a Highly Specialist Family Therapist / Service Lead, Consultant Paediatrician, Specialist Dietician, and Physical Activity Specialist.
