We are currently looking for a HR Advisor to join our team in Scotland.
Role Overview
The HR Advisor is responsible for providing professional, effective, and efficient HR advice and support to managers and employees across the region. The role supports the implementation of HR initiatives, policies, processes, and ways of working to promote a positive and inclusive culture. The post holder will ensure all HR operations are carried out smoothly, aligned with Cardo Group, and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in an operational HR role, including system implementation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Build key relationships with stakeholders across the business, providing HR advice and support regarding employee relations issues.
* Assist in managing short and long-term absence, arrange welfare meetings, and seek occupational health advice, focusing on capability and reducing long-term sickness absence.
* Own the full Employee Lifecycle, ensuring positive and effective end-to-end HR processes in collaboration with the Central HR Team.
* Support induction and onboarding of new employees.
* Handle HR reporting and systems, providing insights on key metrics, and collate monthly HR reports such as sickness absence and turnover.
* Liaise with Payroll regarding queries.
* Support employee relations cases, including investigations, hearings, and outcomes.
* Assist the wider HR team with projects, initiatives, system developments, and reporting.
* Respond to employee queries, ensuring compliance with HR policies.
Skills & Experience
* CIPD Level 3 or above (or equivalent experience)
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a generalist HR role
* Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
* Proficient in HR Systems and MS Office
* Strong attention to detail, with ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in HR data
* Excellent communication skills
* Flexible and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment
