Job Description
Salary: £32,000
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
Location: Nuneaton, Distribution Centre.
Qualifications
* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (essential).
* IOSH Managing Safely (desirable).
* Proven experience in health & safety and facilities management within a warehouse or industrial setting.
* Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and best practices.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
* Ability to influence and engage staff at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety
* Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in line with current legislation.
* Conduct regular risk assessments and audits across warehouse operations.
* Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
* Deliver health and safety training and inductions for all staff and contractors.
* Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and training.
* Liaise with external bodies (e.g., HSE, fire services) as required.
Facilities Management
* Oversee maintenance and servicing of warehouse infrastructure, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
* Manage contracts and relationships with external service providers and contractors.
* Ensure the site is clean, secure, and operationally efficient.
* Monitor and manage energy usage and sustainability initiatives.
* Coordinate building repairs, refurbishments, and improvement projects.
Compliance & Reporting
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.
* Prepare and present reports on safety performance, facility status, and improvement plans.
* Support internal and external audits and inspections.
