Job Summary
Larry King Salons are renowned luxury hair salons located in South Kensington, Marylebone and Notting Hill, London. Established by experienced hairstylist Larry King, the salon is known for providing top-quality hair services to a diverse clientele, including celebrities and fashion icons. With a flagship salon in South Kensington, it has been recognised as "London's Hottest New Salon" by Tatler and "Best London Salon" by the Telegraph.
We are looking for a confident and well-presented assistant looking to further their journey in hair by truly learning from the best in the industry. The ideal candidate would already have their NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing Professionals. Assisting senior stylists and colourists on London and Paris fashion shows, magazine cover shoots and award shows are just some of the sessions our juniors experience.
Responsibilities
* Assist the stylists/colourists with their appointments to ensure they run on time.
* Shampoo clients, washing off colour and helping with treatments.
* Keep backwash areas clean and organised throughout the day – ensuring all suds and spillages are immediately cleaned
* Ensure all areas of the salon are tidied, cleaned, dusted and disinfected regularly (reception, salon floor, both kitchens and bathrooms, staff rooms, colour room and utility room)
* Keep yourself well presented, reflecting high standards of dress code
* Ensure presentation of stylist stations are immaculate
* Gown and seat clients, build a rapport and offer refreshments
* Promote and sell services and products, including recommending and selling additional retail products.
* Making sure laundry is being done frequently, to ensure never being short of gowns or towels
* Be the best salon ambassador possible, representing the wider company
* Push yourself to watch and learn new techniques/stylists
* Attend Larry King Training Academy weekly with a senior member of team.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a salon or similar environment is preferred but not essential; a passion for the hair industry is key.
* NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing Professionals is desirable
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: £14,723.00-£23,810.00 per year

Experience:
* hairdressing: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
* NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing Professionals (preferred)
