Claire at Amber Mace is proud to be working on behalf of a well-respected children’s care provider in their search for a Registered Manager to lead a 6-bedded residential service near to Walsall. This home supports children and young people with learning disabilities, complex needs, and associated behaviours.

About the Role
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and compliance. You will lead a dedicated team to provide a nurturing, stable, and therapeutic environment for the young people in your care.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the operational management of the home in line with Ofsted regulations
Lead and develop a team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
Ensure safeguarding, welfare, and development of the children remains at the heart of all decision making
Build effective working relationships with families, local authorities, and external professionals
Manage recruitment, training, supervision, and performance of staff
Maintain compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and legislation
Requirements
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Children’s Homes – essential
Proven experience managing or deputising in a children’s residential setting
Sound understanding of Ofsted standards, safeguarding practices, and children’s care legislation
Experience supporting children with learning disabilities and complex needs
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
