Job Overview
Administration Manager for the Children and Young People division (Wrexham and Flintshire) under the Business Support Manager. Fixed term/secondment until 30/09/2026 due to maternity cover. This role is available only to staff currently employed by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide operation and day‑to‑day management of clerical and administrative services within the division.
* Manage the Information Systems and produce statistical information for the Health Board and other agencies.
* Lead change management initiatives to improve efficiencies of the Admin team.
* Assist Business Support Managers with operational management of all administrative, secretarial and clerical staff.
* Maintain effective communication with A&C staff and ensure dissemination of information.
* Manage performance of A&C staff and implement new ways of working.
* Produce routine and ad‑hoc information to support monitoring of quality indicators and Key Directorate objectives.
* Lead specific Task Groups to enhance administrative processes.
* Ensure effective use of physical and financial resources by A&C staff.
* Travel between Wrexham and Flintshire sites as required.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE Maths & English Grade C or above.
* Degree level qualification or equivalent proven experience.
* Proficient in use of Microsoft applications.
Desirable qualifications
* Evidence of ongoing CPD.
Experience
* Previous experience of staff management.
* Previous experience of managing financial resources.
* Previous experience in producing written reports.
Desirable experience
* Previous NHS experience.
Skills
* Evidence of potential for effective leadership.
* Ability to work unsupervised and make decisions.
* Ability to initiate change and motivate staff.
* Excellent time management.
* Sound knowledge of patient confidentiality.
Desirable skills
* Welsh speaking.
