Southend City Council is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join its Assessment & Intervention Team, supporting children and families through high-quality, child-focused statutory practice aligned with the council's restorative model.

* Salary range of £39,152 - £45,091 per annum
* Permanent, full-time position
* Hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of two days per week on site

Key Responsibilities
* Assess and support children and families to safeguard and promote welfare
* Complete timely assessments, plans and risk assessments in line with statutory duties
* Manage cases across CIN, CP, CLA and Section 47 processes
* Contribute to duty arrangements to ensure effective case management
* Work collaboratively with families and partner agencies
Requirements
* Recognised social work qualification
* Registration with Social Work England
* Completion of ASYE
* Experience within children's frontline statutory services
* Strong knowledge of child protection, CIN and looked after children processes
* Ability to analyse risk and determine appropriate interventions
* Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
