Now part of the Mainroad Group, Cobra collaborates with Raylec Power and Mainroad Transtronic Services to deliver integrated infrastructure and electrical solutions. Thepany specializes in street lighting installation and maintenance, traffic signal systems, circular traffic loops and count stations, as well as parking lot lighting, seasonal displays, pole painting, and aerial banners. The business operates out of Port Kells in Surrey, BC, with approximately 50 employees across office and field operations, represented by IBEW 213.
Your new role
As General Manager, you’ll lead Cobra’s operations, estimating, and billing teams. You’ll manage budgets, performance, and project delivery while building strong relationships with municipalities, clients, and industry partners. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive safety, quality, and efficiency, mentor staff, and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability. Backed by the Mainroad Group, Cobra offers a stable yet dynamic environment where your leadership will directly impact public infrastructure andmunity connectivity. What you'll need to succeed
We’re looking for a proven leader from civil or electrical construction who has managed teams of similar size and thrives in change. You should be eager to implement new processes and drive operational improvements. A minimum of ten years’ management experience in construction is required, along with strong financial skills and experience in unionized environments. A degree or diploma in Business or Project Management is preferred, and FSR certification is an asset. Success in this role also depends on your ability to lead teams, interpret financial reports, andmunicate effectively while juggling multiple priorities.
