Title: Distribution Manager
Reports to: Operations Director
Based at: Hillington
Job Description: Join one of the fastest-growing kitchen brands in Scotland The Kitchen Depot is a family-owned business, and we are seeking a motivated and experienced Distribution Manager to oversee the distribution operations at our Hillington location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire logistics and supply chain process, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to our customers. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a focus on operational excellence.
Other responsibilities include:
· Logistics Management: Oversee the planning and execution of logistics and distribution strategies and processes to ensure efficient operations.
· Coordinate and optimise the flow of goods from suppliers to customers, including transportation, loads, journeys and warehousing processes.
· Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of distribution staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment while organising shift patterns and conducting performance reviews.
· Conduct regular training sessions to ensure adherence to safety and operational standards.
· Analysing data to assess performance, discover logistical problems and devise plans for improvements
· Operating our IT systems to manage timings and stock levels.
· Monitoring stock levels and managing waste.
· Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Conduct regular audits of distribution processes to identify areas for improvement.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and customers to ensure seamless distribution operations. Manage and maintain a good working relationship with outside delivery contractors. Address any issues or concerns related to deliveries, returns, or inventory discrepancies promptly.

· Skills in data analysis, including working with IT data
· Excellent time-management skills
· Driving and forklift licence is essential
· Minimum of 5 years-experience required in logistics.
