Astrum Search is working with a major UK infrastructure organisation to recruit an experienced Internal Audit Manager. This is a high-profile and senior role in a changing and evolving business that will see you lead a team and deliver high-profile audit engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the development and delivery of a risk-based audit plan focused on strategic priorities
2. Manage and inspire a team of auditors, fostering collaboration and professional growth
3. Deliver high-quality, board-level reporting and insights
4. Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the business
5. Champion innovation through the use of data analytics, AI, and automation
6. Drive continuous improvement in audit methodology and assurance delivery
Experience & Skills Required:
7. Proven experience managing and leading internal audit teams
8. Strong background in internal audit within heavy industry ( transport, energy, manufacturing, utilities etc)
9. Recognised professional qualification ( ACA, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent)
10. Deep understanding of internal control frameworks, risk management, and audit methodologies
11. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including at executive and board level
12. Strategic mindset with a passion for digital transformation and data-driven insights
You'll be part of a collaborative team that has a high level of visibility across the business. The role is London based with a hybrid working policy (2-3 x per week) and has limited UK travel.
On offer is a competitive base salary, alongside a car allowance and performance related payment.
