We are delighted to offer two apprenticeship opportunities within our busy Payroll Department for the role of Payroll Administration Apprentice.
Join a high‑performing team at the heart of the organisation, supporting the delivery of an accurate and professional payroll and pension service. You will work alongside experienced payroll specialists and gain hands‑on exposure to the full range of administrative tasks involved in processing pay for a large, complex workforce.
Responsibilities
* Handle employee telephone and email queries with confidence and professionalism.
* Set up new starters and input data accurately.
* Support day‑to‑day payroll processing and calculations.
* Manage post, filing, photocopying and other administrative tasks that keep the service running smoothly.
Qualifications
* Minimum GCSE Grade 4 (C) or Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English.
* Enthusiastic with a positive work ethic, keen to learn and able to work in a team.
* Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload.
* Confidence, proactivity and sound judgement when making decisions.

At the end of the apprenticeship you will be supported by the Apprenticeship Team to apply for permanent employment. The contract is 24 months long; the starting salary is £15,739, increasing to the National Minimum Wage after 12 months in post (depending upon your age). There is no upper age limit on joining us as an apprentice.
