The role

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a corporate or regulatory lawyer to join the Office of the General Counsel of a leading international US law firm. This highly visible in-house role offers exposure to complex global governance and regulatory matters, with the opportunity to influence strategic business decisions across the firm.

Why Apply?

  • Join the in-house legal team of a globally recognised law firm, advising senior stakeholders on international corporate governance and regulatory matters.
  • Enjoy genuine variety, working on high-profile cross-border projects, evolving regulations and complex legal issues requiring commercial judgement.
  • Attractive six-figure salary, competitive benefits and flexibility, with full-time preferred but part-time applications also welcomed.

This role sits at the heart of the firm's legal and risk function, advising on corporate governance and global regulatory compliance. Working closely with partners and business leaders, you'll provide pragmatic legal advice, help shape firm-wide policies and support strategic projects across the international business.

The firm is looking for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, is comfortable operating in grey areas and can balance legal, commercial and strategic considerations with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on corporate governance, entity management and international structural changes.
  • Provide legal advice on global regulatory and compliance matters, implementing practical policies and procedures.
  • Support emerging reporting and governance obligations.
  • Identify legal and commercial risks, delivering pragmatic advice to senior stakeholders.
  • Draft and review legal documentation.
  • Deliver compliance and governance training.
  • Support strategic cross-border projects with partners and business services teams.

You'll be a commercially minded lawyer with a strong track record gained within a leading international law firm. Experience advising on corporate, transactional and/or regulatory matters is essential, while previous exposure to an in-house General Counsel or risk function would be advantageous.

You'll be self-motivated, intellectually curious and highly organised, with excellent drafting skills and exceptional attention to detail. Confident advising senior stakeholders, you'll enjoy finding practical solutions to complex legal issues and building trusted relationships across an international business.

This is an exceptional opportunity to move into a strategic in-house role within one of the world's leading law firms, combining high-quality legal work with genuine commercial influence.
