The Complex Disease Lawyer will handle own caseload of mixed diseases & complex cases within our Legacy department to manage and progress claims in accordance with appropriate strategies to secure desired outcomes at appropriate levels of profitability.
Key Responsibilities
* Overall conduct of allocated matters fixing strategy and liaising directly with clients.
* Responsibility for Assistants & their development.
* Ensure adherence with court timetables by taking relevant actions/delegation of tasks as appropriate.
* Ensuring experts are instructed in sufficient time by taking relevant actions/delegation of tasks as appropriate.
* Attending conferences with Counsel and clients
* Dealing with routine correspondence
* Compliance with MI
* To ensure compliance with the SRA Standards & Regulations.
* Adhere to the Keoghs Values.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Technically proficient in dealing with a mixed disease caseload including long tail disease and short tail disease.
* Experience of dealing with the Claims Portal as well as Fast, Intermediate and Multi Track litigation including cases in the High Court.
* Effective negotiator.
* Ability to use own initiative.
* Good listening and verbal communication skills
* Ability to organise, delegate & prioritise
* Good level of IT skills. <...
