Our client, a fast-growing clean-energy innovator transforming the way industries power their operations, is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their expanding R&D team. The successful candidate will lead the design and development of advanced electrical architectures, drive innovative R&D programmes, and collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines to deliver safe, reliable, high-performance hydrogen-powered technologies.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will :
* Lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for hydrogen-powered solutions, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with LV, MV, and HV standards.
* Drive innovation across R&D projects, applying first-principles thinking to develop and optimise next-generation electrical technologies.
* Manage and self-lead engineering research activities, integrating mechanical and controls engineering considerations as required.
* Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, communicating complex technical concepts clearly to a range of audiences.
* Mentor and support colleagues within the R&D team, promoting best practice and maintaining high technical standards.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will have :
* Degree qualified in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics (1st class degree desirable; PhD or equivalent advantageous).
* High level of competence in electrical engineering from first principles, with the capability to act as technical authority.
* Good understanding of mechanical and controls engineering.
* Confident liaising with stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds.
* Knowledge of hydrogen fuel cells (desirable).
Experience working with LV, MV, and HV power systems.
