Working Pattern: Full time
Location: Bristol/Derby/Hybrid
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Configuration & Data Management Engineer to join our team at Rolls-Royce. Based in Bristol or Derby, you will be part of a large multi-disciplinary organization tasked with delivering novel gas turbine sub-systems and component solutions as part of a next-generation power and propulsion system and supporting our in-service products.

Team Accountabilities - How we work:
* Configuration and Design Data Management is a key enabler for Rolls-Royce to maintain transparency and integrity of the definition data for all products.
* This involves identifying configuration items in design documents, recording them in Configuration Management Systems, establishing configuration baselines, and controlling product structures and components.
* Responsibility for the Product Change Process and associated Change Control Boards, technical release of design documents, and management of weights and mass properties.
What you will be doing:
* Establish and maintain product configuration rules and support the preparation and maintenance of Configuration Management documentation.
* Create and maintain Configuration Management Plans with suppliers and customers.
* Manage the Product Bill of Material and Product Structure.
* Coordinate Change Control Boards and ensure CM practices are followed.
* Assist in automating CM processes using approved tools, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
* Collaborate with multi-functional teams and report to other teams such as Programme Management, Design Engineering, Final Build, Quality, and Aftermarket.
Who we're looking for:
* Fluent in English, with good organizational, presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Basic knowledge of configuration management standards (ISO10007, CM2, EIA-649).
* Understanding of PLM product database principles.
* Python and Perl programming skills are advantageous.
* Willingness to travel occasionally.
Note: To work for Rolls-Royce, you may need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance. Due to the nature of the work, some roles require UK nationality.
