Key Requirements:
* Minimum two years of experience in a similar role
* Keeping sensitive information confidential
* Positive attitude towards participants and their families
* Monitoring and reporting client progress
* Assessing community needs and resources for health, welfare, housing, employment, training, and other facilities and services
* Staff must be enthusiastic, motivated, and eager to provide care and assistance to the best of their ability while following company standards, policies, and guidelines as well as the National Disability Service Standards
Responsibilities:
* Helping participants achieve their individual goals
* Assessing client needs and developing and planning, including implementing educational, training, and supportive programs
* Referring clients to agencies for additional help
* Supporting families and providing education and care for children and disabled persons in adult service units, group housing, and government institutions
* Assisting young people to solve social, emotional, and financial problems
* Discussing clients' needs and understanding to assess the extent of difficulties
* Support with daily living and personal care/homecare and domestic duties
* Arranging and supervising activities designed to enhance the physical, social, and emotional well-being of participants

Essential Criteria:
* First Aid Certificate/CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain one
* Valid Driver’s Licence/own reliable, licensed car with comprehensive car insurance
* National Police Check
* Current Working with Children Check or willingness to get one
* Full working rights in Australia or an appropriate visa
* Manual Handling Certificate or willingness to get one
Beneficial:
* Certificate III/IV in Disability Services, Aged Care, or equivalent
* Other qualifications related to this position
