A leading data centre and mission critical main contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join their growing team across the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing contractor delivering flagship projects across the UK, with rapid career progression and exposure to major schemes.
The Role
As Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving health, safety, and environmental standards across multiple high-value construction projects. You will work closely with site teams, project managers, and senior leadership to ensure full compliance and promote a strong safety-first culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety reviews
* Support project teams in maintaining full HSEQ compliance
* Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety training
* Investigate incidents, near misses, and implement corrective actions
* Review RAMS, method statements, and risk assessments
* Ensure compliance with company procedures and UK H&S legislation
* Work closely with subcontractors to maintain site safety standards
* Assist with pre-construction planning and tender support where required
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor within main contracting
* Strong background in construction, ideally data centres, industrial, or mission critical projects
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate (essential)
* IOSH membership (desirable)
* Strong knowledge of UK construction health & safety legislation
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Full UK driving licence
