In this catering post, you would be responsible for all activities in the kitchen and it's surrounds including cooking, organisation and supervision of food service.
Supervising staff working in the kitchen.
You must be aware of HACCP procedures and ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted according.
Understanding dietary and nutritional needs.
Duties may also include transporting and serving of meals, general kitchen and dining room duties (for example washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables), and cleaning of the kitchen and it's surround.
We have a permanent vacancy to join our team within schools at Lochgelly South Primary School, Lochgelly.
Working 27.5 hours per week Monday to Friday as required on a 38-week term-time only basis.
You will earn a competitive salary of £23,633.23 to £25,829.49 pro-rata and annualised payments withaccess to a range of benefits, including:
1. £12.59 per hour to start, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.

Training on in house systems will be provided. Working towards an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate will be essential once in post.
The Person
Catering experience or a qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent is essential for this post.
Provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a team.
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
