Position: Mechanical Supervisor

Mechanical Supervisor Role:
Lead and manage the South East Depot Engineering department (PDI Engineers, Electrical PDI Engineers, Workshop Engineers, Labourers). Ensure operational efficiency, health &; safety compliance, and high-quality standards for all equipment prepared and delivered to customers.
Mechanical Supervisor Responsibilities:
* Enforce compliance with H&;S standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
* Lead, support, and develop the depot’s engineering team, driving performance, training, and continuous improvement.
* Oversee daily engineering operations, including generator PDI processes, stock, logistics, site surveys, installations, and breakdown support.
* Provide out-of-hours call-out support (rota-based).
* Ensure equipment is maintained, serviced, and repaired to manufacturer/company standards.
* Manage inventory, stock replenishment, and InspHire records to ensure operational readiness.
Mechanical Supervisory Experience:
* Proven experience in a leadership role within equipment hire or power generation.
* Engineering background in plant/diesel engine maintenance (generator knowledge preferred).
* Strong compliance and safety understanding within engineering environments.
* Team leadership and organisational skills.
