Better places, thriving communities. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will manage the delivery of all mechanical, electrical and associated maintenance services across the site. You will manage a team of engineers plus sub-contractors, ensuring that an effective and efficient service is delivered and maintained, service levels are in line with the contractual KPI's and overseeing supplier/labour costs to ensure financial targets are achieved. Build a strong working relationship with internal and external customers to ensure that all services are delivered in a professional, timely and cost-effective manner. Compile accurate management information/reporting as required and submit in a timely manner to appropriate stakeholders. Play a key role to support site audits, including but not limited to quality, health and safety, environmental and finance.
What We Are Looking For
The successful Technical Supervisor will have strong technical knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems, and project experience would also be desirable but not essential. Be able to demonstrate a proven track record managing multi-disciplined teams including recruitment, disciplinaries, grievances, appraisals, and performance management. Can show an ability to manage operational spend and highly computer literate and experienced in using Microsoft applications.
Main Duties
Manage customer escalations and communicate effectively. Promote QHSE best practice and consistency within the team. Assist Engineers and planning team, providing support, advice and guidance to ensure best use of time and resource. Root cause analysis of day to day issues for continuous improvement of processes and data. Investigate and provide resolutions to issues that impact first time fix, double job handling and unnecessary sub-contracting.
Skills & Behaviours
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with customer focused thinking. Ability to solve problems positively and be pragmatic. Proven ability to work under pressure and be able to prioritise. You will have a “can do” attitude with an eye for detail and be able to transmit and encourage the right behaviours.
Qualifications & Experience
Electrical Qualification C&Q Level 3, competence and experience working in a fast paced environment. Experience of working in a technical Estates environment. Must have experience within a supervisory and/or Team Leader role.
