Employee Benefits Consultant / Account Manager

(Hybrid - 3 days in Solihull Office / 2 days Home Working

The Role

We are seeking a desk-based Account Manager to manage an existing portfolio of Private Medical Insurance (PMI) and Group Risk clients, with API values ranging from £1K to £20K. As our business continues to grow, your portfolio will expand alongside it. This role requires a solid understanding of the PMI market and experience in managing and renewing client portfolios. You will also support other consultants in the business, assisting with larger client renewals.

Professional Expertise

* Experience working in a regulated environment with compliance requirements, with the ability to adhere strictly to company procedures.
* PMI and Group Risk experience at intermediary level.
* Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. IF1, IF7, GR1) or willingness to undertake study within 6-month probation period.

Key Responsibilities

* Regulatory Compliance
: Proactively comply with and champion all organisational policies, with particular focus on adherence to Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations.
* Process Improvement:
Continuously review and refine retention processes to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
* Client & Insurer Liaison:
Maintain close communication with clients and insurers to ensure smooth renewal processes and positive relationships.
* Data & Reporting:
Gather, check, and analyse data for client renewals. Prepare clear, accurate renewal reports and provide advice on the most suitable terms.
* Client Portfolio Management:
Act as the first point of contact for claims, invoicing, and general queries. Manage all client matters promptly, proactively, and efficiently, keeping the client at the heart of decision-making. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in line with company procedures.
* Communication:
Listen attentively to identify client needs and potential issues. Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
* Organisation:
Prioritise workload effectively to meet agreed service standards.
* Professional Development:
Participate in training sessions, maintain your personal training file, and actively build relevant skills and knowledge.
