Position
Personal Assistant
Responsibilities
* Help plan, organise and carry out household tasks including cleaning, washing and other tasks as needed. It is envisaged that you will work alongside the client.
* Help the client learn to cook healthy and various meals.
* Accompany the client on walks, cycling trips and to the community.
* Accompany the client to social events and provide any assistance, guidance or support as needed.
* Accompany the client to the gym.
Place of Work
Based at the client’s home initially, then assisting the client to access the local community and wider area.
Hours of Work
Support is needed on Mondays with flexibility as required. The role comprises 3 hours per week.
Rate of Pay
£14.70 per hour.
Qualifications and Skills
* Able to respect privacy and confidentiality.
* Reliable and dependable.
* Honest and trustworthy.
* Share similar leisure interests.
* Professional while having a positive, fun outlook.
* Willingness to learn about the client’s impairment.
* Positive attitude and patience.
* Ability to cook good food (you do not need to be a trained chef).
About the Job
Although part-time, this is a proper job requiring a National Insurance number. A probation period will be necessary. Wages are paid every 4 weeks. 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). A DBS check will be required at no expense to you. Dewis Centre for Independent Living acts on behalf of a third party and will not be the employer or liable for issues arising from employment.
