Job Description: Aircraft Component Technician
* We are seeking an Aircraft Component Technician to join our Interior Lighting Division. This role involves hands-on electronic repair of aircraft interior fluorescent and LED lighting units, including PCB-level repairs to discrete component level. Candidates with aviation experience are preferred, however engineers and electronics technicians from other industries with transferable skills will be considered and trained for the aviation sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Test/Inspect, Repair and Overhaul of aircraft interior fluorescent and LED lighting units
* PCB electronic repair to discrete component level
* Manual surface-mount soldering and component replacement
* Fault finding and testing of electronic assemblies
* Completion of maintenance documentation in line with Part 145 requirements
* Working to approved procedures, quality standards and safety regulations
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
Essential:
* Engineering or electronics experience
* Proven experience in hand surface-mount soldering
* Ability to work at PCB and discrete component level
* A recognised engineering qualification
Desirable:
* Previous aviation or aerospace experience
* Experience working in a regulated or quality-driven environment
