The Role
I am seeking an experienced and committed Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Newham from September 2026. This is a permanent, full-time position suitable for a qualified teacher with a strong background in delivering engaging and effective Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to teach Key Stage 5 being highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons that inspire and challenge students
Teach across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at KS3 and KS4 (specialism at KS5 advantageous)
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour
Support the wider life of the school community
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
Proven experience teaching Science within a UK secondary school setting
Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
A track record of raising attainment and delivering excellent outcomes
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
