We are recruiting 1 x Multi-Skilled Mechanical Engineer and 1 x Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a specialist food manufacturing site in Chipping Norton. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a niche milling operation - the only one of its kind in the area - offering excellent training, long-term stability, and genuine progression into senior engineering roles.
You'll be joining a close-knit engineering team, currently 2 engineers strong, with plans to grow to 5+ engineers within the next 6-12 months, creating clear development pathways into leadership positions.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
Planned and reactive maintenance across food production machinery
Reducing breakdowns through continuous improvement and proactive maintenance
Machinery installations and project work
Working on:
Separators, grinders, conveyors, elevators, washers, rollers, baggers
AC/DC motors, PLC-controlled equipment (Siemens), sensors, relays
Belts, chains, bearings, gearboxes
👨🔧 What We're Looking For
Time-served or apprentice-trained engineer
Minimum 3 years' hands-on engineering experience
Electrical role: 17th or 18th Edition qualification required
Food/FMCG manufacturing background preferred (but not essential)
Strong fault-finding ability and proactive mindset

Full on-site training due to specialist machinery and processes
Progression into Senior Engineer roles as the team expands

Multi-Skilled Mechanical: £40,000 (flexible for the right candidate)
Electrical Engineer: £45,000 (flexible for the right candidate)
Overtime paid at 1.25x weekdays / 1.5x weekends

Week 1: Monday-Thursday 07:00-15:00 & Saturday 07:00-13:00 (on-call)
Week 2: Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00
