Groundworks - Construction Skills Trainer/Assessor (EL795)
Salary: Competitive
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 18.5 per week
Location: Crewe and Ellesmere Port Campus.
Key Responsibilities
* Train and assess learners up to Level 3 in the workplace and college.
* Support learner progress through assessment in the workplace and curriculum delivery.
* Ensure timely achievement of apprenticeship frameworks and standards.
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons in line with college policies.
Person Specification
* Minimum Level 3 (or equivalent) vocational qualification in Groundworks, Construction, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Level 2/3 qualification in Groundworks or related construction field.
* At least 2 years of industry experience within Groundworks or a related commercial environment.
* Strong understanding of excavation, drainage, concreting, and site preparation.
* Good knowledge of UK construction regulations (CSCS, H&S, NRSWA etc.).
* Assessor qualification (A1/TAQA/CAVA) or equivalent (or commitment to work towards).
* GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths.
* Knowledge and understanding of awarding body standards and requirements.
* Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment.
* Experience of working in further education.
* Up-to-date occupational experience.
* Full current driving licence, use of a car and insurance for business purposes.
* Required to provide a DBS Disclosure, evidence of Right to Work and original qualification certificates.
