Protocol Education are working with a specialist SEND provision in Sunderland that supports pupils with autism, learning difficulties and communication needs.
The school provides a nurturing and structured learning environment, allowing pupils to access a curriculum tailored to their individual learning styles.
As an SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in helping pupils engage in learning while supporting their communication, social development and emotional wellbeing.
Your role will involve:
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons adapted to pupils’ individual needs
• Supporting pupils to develop communication and interaction skills
• Working alongside Teaching Assistants to ensure pupils receive consistent support
• Implementing strategies that support emotional regulation and engagement
• Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to EHCP reviews
The school is seeking a teacher who is enthusiastic, supportive and committed to inclusive education.
Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have a strong interest in working within SEND education.
A DBS on the Update Service is preferred, however candidates without one will be required to complete a DBS application through Protocol Education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
