What Are We Looking For?
Our Accounts department is seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our established team in our Inverness office on a permanent basis. Please note, this role requires travel between Inverness and Muir of Ord. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Clerk to work with one of the most prominent businesses in northern Scotland, servicing the UK water industry.
Key Duties Include:
1. Process purchase invoices and payment requests in accordance with payment terms and VAT regulations, adhering to monthly deadlines.
2. Supervise department activities to ensure requisitions and payments meet business requirements.
3. Mentor staff within the wider team where appropriate.
4. Scan purchase invoices for filing in a timely manner.
5. Prepare monthly CIS returns and make deductions as necessary.
6. Assist in raising purchase orders.
7. Obtain delivery notes and update the system accordingly.
8. Maintain the filing system for material certificates.
9. Perform additional tasks as requested within your skill set.
What Do You Need?
* Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role.
* Strong IT skills.
* Effective organization and prioritization skills.
* Ability to meet strict deadlines and produce high-quality work.
* Clear and professional communication skills, polite when dealing with clients.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
* Teamwork skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
