Job Description
As the Senior Manager, HR Operations, you will manage the people operations team, ensuring the effective delivery of People services and aligning them with wider People team and Company goals. You will manage key areas including People process and policy, payroll and benefits, project management, immigration compliance, People data analytics, documentation, front-of-house operations, and real estate support. This role demands strong operational execution.
What You Will Be Doing
Leadership
* Manage and mentor the people operations team, ensuring high performance and continuous development
* Support the development and implementation of people operations strategies, policies, and procedures to align with organisational objectives
* Serve as a trusted advisor to senior People team leadership on operational and compliance matters
People Operations Management
* Manage the full employee lifecycle, ensuring seamless processes from onboarding to offboarding
* In conjunction with the Workday team, ensure Workday accurate, and effectively utilised across the organisation
* Regularly review and update the people handbook, people playbook and people policies, ensuring alignment with legislation and organisational culture
* Compile and maintain the central People team calendar
Payroll & Benefits Management
* Manage the People Operations team in the completion of all EMEA/APAC payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with statutory requirements
* Lead UK payroll processes with the support of the People Operations Advisor
* Manage year-end tax and compliance processes, signing off final reports and communication plans
* Manage relationships with third-party payroll providers, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management
* With the support of the People Operations team, lead all aspects of benefits administration, including annual renewal processes, provider evaluations, and contract negotiations
* Ensure compliance with legislation and organisational policies related to all payrolls and benefits
* Partner with finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve discrepancies efficiently
Compensation Management
* Support the management of the annual compensation review process, including salary benchmarking and market analysis.
* Maintain salary banding frameworks that promote internal equity and external competitiveness
* Provide recommendations to SVP People on salary adjustments, bonuses, and rewards programmes
* Partner with finance and People team to ensure alignment of compensation practices
* Prepare materials and communications to help leaders and managers understand salary bench marketing data
Acquisition Integration
* Support the successful integration of acquired entities into the Company’s People operations, systems, and processes
* Develop and execute detailed project plans for onboarding, payroll transitions, benefits harmonisation, and cultural alignment
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and change management during integrations
Immigration Compliance
* Manage and oversee all immigration processes, including visa sponsorships, renewals, and right-to-work compliance
* Ensure immigration policies and practices adhere to UK regulations as well as wider regulations across EMEA/APAC, mitigating legal risks where needed
* Act as the primary point of contact for external legal counsel on complex immigration cases
Data Analytics & Compliance
* Maintain People dashboards to monitor key metrics, including headcount, turnover, diversity, and employee engagement
* Use data-driven insights to propose and implement initiatives that improve organisational performance
* Lead audits and compliance reviews, ensuring adherence to GDPR, employment law, and internal policies
Documentation & Filing
* Maintain a robust and compliant filing system for all People and operational documentation, including contracts, immigration records, and real estate agreements
* Ensure proper archiving of key documents, enabling efficient access and retrieval
* Ensure all Company facing People documentation and information is kept up-to-date including Wasserman Central, Intranet and Workday dashboard
The Skills And Experience You Need
* Experience in a senior HR or People Operations role, ideally within the UK
* Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and develop teams
* Deep knowledge of UK employment law and immigration regulations
* Demonstrated success in leading People projects and initiatives from concept to completion
* Proficiency in Workday, data analytics, and creating actionable dashboards
* Experience managing front-of-house functions and supporting real estate projects
* Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools
