a commercially minded, strategically driven Head of Commercial Partnerships to lead our
partnerships strategy, drive revenue growth and deliver exceptional value across our clients
and owned properties.
Role Overview
The Head of Commercial Partnerships will oversee the development and execution of
partnership strategies across all Sela properties and client projects.
This senior leadership role requires deep industry expertise, a strong network of brand relationships, and proven success in securing and delivering high-value partnerships across sports, entertainment and media.
The role includes responsibility for team leadership, revenue generation, partner management, and
strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development of the commercial partnerships strategy across Sela’s owned
properties and client projects.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, strategy, events, production and creative teams to ensure
seamless execution of all partnership activities.
• Own the partnerships revenue pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and transparent
reporting.
• Lead new business development, identifying, prospecting and securing innovative commercial
partnerships across multiple sectors.
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with brand decision-makers, rights holders,
agencies and industry stakeholders.
• Develop compelling, insight-driven proposals tailored to partner objectives.
• Work with legal teams to negotiate, draft and finalise partnership agreements, ensuring
accuracy, compliance and value.
• Identify opportunities to expand or evolve partnerships to support long-term growth.
• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of partnerships, ensuring activations are executed creatively
and effectively.
• Establish clear KPIs and measurement frameworks to track success and ROI for all
partnerships.
• Lead renewal strategies and negotiations based on insights, performance and strategic
alignment.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to partners, rights holders and internal leadership.
• Represent Sela at industry conferences, networking events, and client presentations.
• Act as a senior ambassador for the business, promoting our capabilities and reinforcing our
market position.
• Serve as a key point of contact for external stakeholders, supporting major negotiations and
commercial discussions.
• Conduct post-event and post-campaign reviews to assess commercial performance,
partnership delivery and revenue outcomes.
• Provide strategic recommendations to optimise commercial outcomes for future projects and
long-term growth.
•Build, develop and inspire a high-performing partnerships team, fostering a culture of
collaboration, creativity and commercial excellence.
• Set clear performance goals and provide coaching and guidance to support continuous
improvement.
• Monitor team performance and drive achievement of revenue and pipeline targets.
• Identify emerging trends, audience behaviours and new commercial opportunities across
sport and entertainment.
Skills & Experience
• 10+ years’ experience in commercial partnerships, sponsorship, business development or
commercial roles within sports, entertainment or media.
• Proven track record in securing and delivering high-value, multi-year partnerships.
• Strong network of contacts across brands, agencies, and rights holders.
• Excellent communication, pitch and negotiation capabilities.
• Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial energy and creativity.
• Strong leadership experience, with the ability to guide teams and manage complex, cross-
functional projects.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile and evolving environment.
